This Saturday Night is your last chance to experience Tim Harrington's Split Anaglyphs show at JSx55.
On view are 24 unique water color pieces created by Tim, that in the context of green and magenta lighting, create two-frame animations.
It's been a great show to have on Clinton Street and we wanted to invite you all to experience it before it leaves the gallery. Make it a stop on your post-Derby travels this weekend.

Split Anaglyphs at JSx55
Anaglyph images use chromatically opposite colors to create the 3D images seen in print and film. Glasses with filtered lenses deliver a different perspective of an image to each eye. The brain merges these into one three-dimensional form. In Split Anaglyphs Tim Harrington inverts the technique with an installation of trioscopic drawings. Rather then merging the images, he uses filtered light to divide his pictures, creating a unique kind of environmental animation.
Tim Harrington is a prolific visual artist, an emblematic character in the indie rock universe, a prominent citizen of Brooklyn, New York, and local dad-about-town. Tim has fronted the band Les Savy Fav since 1995, and is the man behind the Pitchfork.tv series “BEARDO”. He and his wife Anna created Deadly Squire, a line of textiles and patterned products. Tim is also a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Masters Program. He has worked professionally as a designer, illustrator, and fine artist since 1996.
